→ How To Tell If Somebody Loves You
Somebody loves you if they pick an eyelash off of your face or wet a napkin and apply it to your dirty skin. You didn’t ask for these things, but this person went ahead and did it anyway. They don’…
Not a Good Example.
What would you feel if your public servant does not know how to be one even in the little things he do? It’s my second year of exercising my right to suffrage; second time to use the PCOS machine and another chance to be hopeful for a bright tomorrow. Or maybe there’s really nothing to look forward to? Last May 13 2013, as mom and I patiently waits for our turn to vote, Mayor Herbert Bautista, running for mayor again, came. As usual, typical Pilipno, the Mayor was a show stopper. It’s as if, even if we’ve been in the line for almost hours, perspiring, and hungry; because he came, it’s okay. Kasi para kang nakakita ng artista. Direk Lauren Dyogi, the celebrity director we all know, was at my back, lining up with his wife to vote. But I didn’t budged. Okay, maybe I did, just a little but I was not all over him, for I know that he’s just a normal person too, who wants to appreciate his privacy and who wants to get away from the glitz and glamour he faces everyday. Le Mayor waved to a few people, smiled and posed for some photo opportunity. Then I heard him say, “Saan yung dulo ng pila?” One of his people gestured him to the end of the line. And boy, it was long. He got dismayed, called one person from his team and told her something. He went to the side and sat down under a shady tree. Media people came rushing and then we’re back to our own businesses again until… He went near the PCOS machine and we all got surprised. Cameras were flashing and from that very moment, I knew, he was done voting. Hindi siya pumila! He turned around, wave and took off. I got really disappointed. Nanggigil talaga ako. Paano niya naatim na mag cut ng line when he knows, na kanina pa nasa pila yung mga constituents niya? I really thought, he’s going to fall in line, talk to a few people there. But he didn’t! Mas matatanggap ko pa kung may pinapila siyang tao niya sa initan tapos siya nasa gilid or may taga paypay at taga payong siya while he’s in the line. Pero wala. Dahil sa ginawa niya, he just lost my vote. Direk Lauren, shocked and dismayed by what le Mayor showed us, picked up his phone and started to talk to someone. I can’t help but over hear what they were talking about and it’s about what just happened. He’s confirming what time Herbert arrived; if pumila ba siya talaga or what. After a few minutes, he hang up and said, “Oh, pumila daw siya, masyado nyo naman binibigyan ng malisya.” I got more irritated. Bakit ba kailangang ituwid ang baluktot na bagay? We were all there, we saw what happened and NO, HINDI SIYA PUMILA. If he pulled a reason saying that he has someone from his team who was in the line and just texted him when it was finally his turn, that would be okay. But to ask, upon arrival, kung nasaan yung dulo ng pila, instead of asking where that person was, it clearly states that he cut the line. I believe that’s a rational and logical argument, and I will hold on to that. Sayang, if he stayed, and spent his day talking to the people in the precinct, he would have won everyone who was there. But because of what he did, he just lost ten votes. So much for being a role model and a good public servant baby. The little things count. Because that’s who you are and who you’ll be. I got very disappointed. And I think, it’ll never pass. I pulled a prank on my Lolo. Binalot ko yung favorite juice drink niya and gave it to him as a gift. His reaction was this. PRICELESS! I love you pa! I miss you! (Pa, bulungan mo po si mommy that everything will be alright. :) <3 0 plays On rape mode! “I can’t get enough of you; in every little thing you do..” ^_^
Knight in Shining Armor to the Rescue!
May 12 2013 Today, my lovely neighbor cut our water supply. Isn’t he so sweet? He’s renovating his house and we’ve been asking him to delay the water thingy so that Mom and I can raise the necessary funds to re route our plumbing. But today, (and of all day, yes, Mother’s Day) I woke up without water. I don’t know what to do until a knight who came from the South, together with his mighty friend, went out of their way and offered to rescue me from drought. HAHA. He’s such a sweet heart. Nobody has ever done something like that for me. Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful and I will forever be, but seeing him, seeing them all worked up, perspiring and tired, makes me feel uncomfortable and guilty. I’m not used to seeing people suffer because of me. I don’t like the idea na parang inaalipin ko sila, siya. *Sighs Maybe because I was always the one like that? I am always willing to go out of my way for the people I love. So this is how it feels like to be loved and taken cared of. HAHA. Thanks! Thank you my knight in shining armor! ^_^
Happy Mother’s Day to my AWESOME MOM! <3
Words will never be enough to express how much the world I live in becomes a much better place because of you. I love you mom! You rock! :) “Vote RESPONSIBLY! A friendly reminder to all the people who wants to acquire position and be TRUE servants of the country.”
Weirdest Dream Ever!
I dreamed that I was marrying my first Cousin! Isn’t that weird? Here’s the full story. I was in my lovely wedding dress and I was crying! I grabbed my phone and called “bunch” (that’s how we call each other in the dream). His secretary answered and said, “Wait lang po Ma’am Nina.” Then after a few seconds.. Him: “Hello, Bunch?” Me: “Bunch, (crying) gusto mo ba talaga akong pakasalan?” Him: “Bunch, ano ba namang klaseng tanong yan?” Me: “Just answer, please?” Him: “If you’re worrying about Tita Nmfa (my mom) don’t. She’s going to stay with us.” (I am with his mom, (my Tita/Ninang) and his dad (my Tito) and they are very worried. They even said, “Nako, hindi na matutuloy ang kasal?”) Me: “Sa new house ba she has a room?” (still crying hard) Him: “Bunch, of course. I told you she’s going to stay with us. So stop worrying na. Stop crying na. Oh, go na to the bridal car and I’ll see you in a while.” Me: (sniffs, sniffs) Him: “I love you Bunch…” Then I woke up. HAHA! Isn’t that weird? :P |
